Hot potato. Cold potato.
Roasted potato. Grilled potato.
No matter how you prepare them, or where they're grown, that staple member
of the our diet from the Incas to the Irish has made it through thick
and thin. And why not? Potatoes are easy to prepare, taste great and compliment
nearly every meal.
Meet the fingerling potato.
Today, potatoes are available in all shapes and
sizes. The fingerling in particular is colorful, stubby and highly flavorful.
Cinacia fingerlings are grown at 7,000 feet in the San Luis valley of
south central Colorado, the flavor, texture and eye appeal can't be beat.
Maybe it's the thin air or the rich, fertile soil that makes them grow
so well, naturally. Or, perhaps it's the attention we pay to the varieties
we select and how we grow each potato. We like to think it's all those
things. Because, if there's one thing we know how to do, it's grow potatoes.
After all, we've been part of a family farming tradition for nearly half
a century.
100% certified organic
Cinacia is now the largest certified organic grower and packer of fingerling
potatoes in the United States. We grow our potatoes in accordance with
the California Organic Foods Act of 1990 and are certified by the Colorado
Department of Agriculture. That means they're grown, picked and packed
without the aid of chemicals of any kind.
We're always looking for new and unusual varieties to add to our farm.
And we're dedicated to expanding our growing and packing operations to
meet the increased demand for 100% organic produce. But we will always
maintain our integrity toward farming in the way nature intended.
Variety is the spice of life.
Choose from six different Fingerling potato varieties. The French Fingerling,
Russian Banana, Austrian Crescent, Ruby Crescent, Purple Peruvian and
the Buttercream new potato. Each variety is chosen with special attention
toward taste, look and feel. So, the potato you prepare tastes delicious
and looks great on a plate. After all, that's half the fun of growing
organic Fingerling potatoes.
Hand packed.
Each and every potato that leaves the Cinacia farm is hand packed. Sure,
it takes a little longer, but it's the best way to make sure you get the
highest quality, specialty organic potato. Further, once a Cinacia potato
is packed, it's immediately shipped. They really are fresh off the farm.
How Cinacia got its name.
Cinacia is a hybrid of the names Cindy and Alicia the daughters of farmers
Robert and Catherine Adkins. When the girls joined the farming operation
with the same vision toward producing wholesome and healthy foods, the
Cinacia brand was born.
All we ask is that you enjoy eating our potatoes as much as we like growing
them.
Thanks
